APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Check the eligibility criteria thoroughly and ask the ESSQ team if you have any queries.
     
  2. Complete the online application form through the University of Edinburgh's online system EUCLID.

  3. Ensure you upload scans of all requested documentation (no application is reviewed without complete paperwork).

  4. You will receive regular e-mails from the system to let you know the progress of the application.

  5. If you are successful you will be e-mailed an offer of a place conditional on making an initial, non-refundable, payment of £500 towards the fees for the first year (final year medical students awaiting their degree award will receive an offer conditional on this and on providing the remaining final degree paperwork).  Details of how to make the initial payment will be sent with the offer.

  6. When conditions in the initial offer have been met, a final unconditional offer will be e-mailed to you.  Please note that you MUST enter the EUCLID portal to accept the unconditional offer before you can be enrolled.  

Uploading Documents

All documentation needs to be uploaded electronically. After submitting your application, you can return to it anytime before the application deadline to edit or upload additional documentation.

Tips:

      Name all documentation appropriately e.g. CV, Academic Transcript, Reference 1
      Keep document file sizes small will improve processing time
      Close all other internet programmes while you make your application.

If documents fail to upload (e.g. page not found message returned) please try again as it is likely to be the result of your local internet connection capabilities.

The Garden Scholarship for Surgical Sciences

The Garden Scholarship (value £1,000) is awarded annually, on application, to a successful applicant for the postgraduate Master's programme in Surgical Sciences.  The Scholarship is available to Years 2 and 3 students and eligibility is based on successful completion of Year 1.  Please visit the link above for full list eligibility criteria.
